Product

Does ScribX work with Google Meet, Zoom and Teams?

Yes. The way you capture depends on the platform:

• A bot works on Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. In the web app, click New note, paste the meeting link, then click Invite ScribX. See Send a bot.
• Zoom needs one extra step first: connect your Zoom account. Google Meet and Teams do not need this.
• The browser extension works in Google Meet and Zoom in the browser. In Google Meet it can also show Live captions with no bot.
• Microsoft Teams, and the Zoom desktop app: send a bot. The extension does not work there.

How does live transcription work?

ScribX sends the meeting audio to its transcription service while people speak. Words appear on screen almost at once. First you see draft text that can still change. When the sentence is finished, the text becomes final.

How does live translation work?

Each sentence is translated as soon as it is final. You see the original and the translation side by side. A meeting can be in English, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean or Chinese. The app is also available in these five languages.

What is a meeting note?

A note is the page ScribX makes for each meeting. After the call, ScribX writes a summary on it in the meeting's summary template. The default template is General. It lists the attendees, a summary, decisions, action items and details. Each point links to the moment it was said. The summary is ready shortly after the meeting ends. To write it again in another template, click the template button above the summary (for example General) and pick one.

What is ScribX layout?

A summary template where ScribX chooses the layout for each meeting. Headings say the main point. Tables and diagrams are used where they help. Action items are a checklist. Every part of the meeting is covered. It costs 10 credits per meeting, and it is being turned on for accounts step by step. See Summary templates & ScribX layout.

Why does my note say ScribX couldn't record the meeting?

The note gives the reason. For example:

• Nobody admitted ScribX into the meeting.
• The meeting had not started, or ScribX could not find it.
• Only people from the host's organization could join.
• Your organization had no credits left.

A bot that never got into the meeting costs nothing. See Manage the bot.

What are Chapters?

Chapters are the important moments ScribX notes while the meeting is still running: decisions, problems raised and action items. You can read them during the call. After the meeting they are on the note's Chapters tab, and ScribX uses them to write the summary. See Chapters.

Can I edit the transcript or notes after the meeting?

Yes. Open the note:

• Summary — click into the text and type. Changes are saved at once.
• Transcript — correct a line, or give a speaker a name.
• A new summary — click the template button above the summary and choose a template.

Earlier versions are kept. Open the note's ⋯ menu (top right), then click History of my notes. See History.

Privacy & data

Is my meeting audio stored?

By default, yes. The recording is kept in your library, encrypted on our servers, until you delete it. You can delete only the audio or video and keep the note.

To keep no audio at all, choose Transcript only:

• For one meeting: on the new note, click Options, then Record → Transcript only.
• For all your meetings: open your avatar menu → Profile & settings → Account → Meeting preferences.

Your organization can also delete recordings automatically after a set time. See Data & retention.

Does ScribX use my meetings to train AI?

Never. We do not use your meeting content to train any AI model, and we contractually prohibit all sub-processors from doing so. Your data is yours.

Is ScribX GDPR compliant?

Yes. Under GDPR, ScribX is the data processor for your meeting data. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available. If a person asks to see or delete their personal data, we answer within 30 days.

What happens to our data if we delete our organization?

An organization admin can delete the organization. For 30 days after that, ScribX support can restore it. After 30 days, recordings and voiceprints are removed for good. Invoices are kept, as the law requires. See When a plan ends, and deleting an organization.

There is no button that downloads all your data at once. Save what you need first, note by note:

• On the Summary and Transcript tabs, click Copy.
• Under the audio or video player, click Download.

Billing

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan gives your organization 200 credits each cycle. That is about three hours of meetings. It includes the AI summary, translation, context sources, a glossary of up to 25 terms, calendar auto-join and voiceprints. You don't need a credit card. See Plans & billing.

What is a credit, and what uses one?

One credit is about one minute of meeting. What each kind of capture costs:

A bot meeting that uses the platform's own captions (Basic)	0.25 per minute

Summaries, translation, Chapters and chat are free on every plan. One exception: the ScribX layout summary template costs 10 credits per meeting.

What's the difference between Pro and Team?

Pro is for one person. It has more credits than Free.

Team is for a group. You pay per seat, with at least two seats. It adds:

• inviting people and shared teams,
• one shared pool of credits that grows with each seat,
• a shared context library,
• the REST API, webhooks and the MCP server.

What does Enterprise include?

Everything in Team, plus:

• your own speech-to-text account and your own storage,
• your own Zoom App and meeting-platform sign-ins for the bot,
• voiceprints for the whole organization,
• 50 meetings at the same time, with no length limit,
• recordings kept with no time limit,
• priority support with a service agreement (SLA).

Credits and storage are set in your contract. Contact us for the price.

What happens when our paid plan ends?

Only one person can still use the organization: the first admin. Everyone else is locked out, but not removed. Nothing is deleted. Everyone gets access again when you buy a paid plan again. See When a plan ends, and deleting an organization.

Integrations

What is the MCP server?

With the MCP server, AI assistants such as Claude or Cursor can read your transcripts, summaries and action items. You don't need to copy and paste. It is available on Team and Enterprise, after an admin turns it on. See MCP server.

Is there a REST API and webhooks?

Yes, on Team and Enterprise. With the REST API, your other tools can get notes and transcripts. A webhook sends a message to your system as soon as a note is ready, for example to a CRM. See REST API & webhooks.

Can I connect Notion or other docs?

Yes. Add Notion or Outline pages as context. ScribX reads them so that summaries use the right names, terms and abbreviations. To connect them, click Integrations in the sidebar. See Context & glossary.

Technical

What browsers does the extension support?

Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave and Arc. A Firefox version is planned.

How accurate is the transcription?

It depends on the sound quality, the accent and the language. Clear audio from a headset gives the best results. To improve it, add product names, people and abbreviations to a glossary.
