Extension settings

The options page is where you configure the extension. Open it by right-clicking the ScribX toolbar icon and choosing Options, or by clicking Settings from the popup.

Account​

See the email you're signed in as, your organization and role, and a Sign out button.

Workspace​

Set your default team/project — where new captures are saved unless you switch it in the popup.

Interface language​

Choose the extension's language: English, Tiếng Việt, 日本語, or 한국어. See languages for how language applies across ScribX.

Theme​

Switch between light and dark.

Caption appearance​

Enable captions and style them with a live preview:

  • Background — none, hug, or bar
  • Opacity
  • Text edge — none, shadow, or outline
  • Text color
  • Text size
  • Lines shown — 1 to 3
tip

Changes auto-save as you adjust them, and the preview updates live. This is the styling used for the in-meeting captions.

Connection & reconnect​

A status chip shows the live connection state: connecting, connected, disconnected, or error. A manual Reconnect button retries the connection (with automatic backoff).

note

On a flaky network, use Reconnect so you don't silently lose the live transcript.

Replay the guided feature tour any time from settings.
