The extension popup

Click the ScribX toolbar icon in Chrome to open the popup. It's your quick control center: check your account, pick the team a capture is saved to, and start capturing the meeting you're in.

note

The extension works on Google Meet (full support) and Zoom (web client, limited). It does not support Microsoft Teams.

Header controls

At the top of the popup you'll find a theme toggle (light/dark) and a Settings link that opens the extension settings.

When you're signed in

The popup shows your avatar or initials, a "Welcome back" greeting with your name, your email, and an Active status badge.

Active team switcher

A dropdown lists your teams — including My Personal Space / Private. Your selection here sets which team a capture is saved to, and it persists across sessions.

tip

Pick the right team before you start capturing so notes land in the correct workspace.

Capture this meeting

When you're on a Google Meet or Zoom tab, click Capture this meeting to open the in-call capture panel and start.

Other actions

  • Refresh status — re-check your sign-in state.
  • Open dashboard — open the web app.

When you're signed out

  • Sign in — start the sign in flow.
  • Guest access — paste a meeting share link. The popup detects the share id and asks for the passcode, then opens a view-only sidebar.
info

Guest access is view-only — great for joining someone else's shared capture without an account. See share links for how sharing works.
