ScribX is built privacy-first. This page explains what's stored, for how long, and the controls Enterprise teams have.
What is — and isn't — stored
- Audio is not retained. It's processed in real time and discarded immediately after transcription.
- Stored: the transcript, translations and structured notes — encrypted at rest.
- Recordings (audio/video) are stored only when you choose a recording format that keeps media; Transcript-only mode keeps no media at all.
We don't train on your data
ScribX never uses your meeting content to train any AI model, and contractually prohibits sub-processors from doing so. Your data is yours.
Transcript-only mode
Set the default recording format to Transcript only so no audio or video is ever stored — just the text and notes.
Retention controls
Enterprise teams can configure how long meetings are kept and set automatic purge windows. By default:
- Transcripts, notes and account data are deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Audit logs are retained for 7 years to meet financial-compliance requirements.
Compliance
- ScribX acts as a data processor under GDPR for your meeting data.
- A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available, and we support data-subject-rights requests.
