Supported platforms
ScribX can capture a meeting in three ways:
- A bot that you send from the web app. It joins the call.
- The browser extension. It works inside the meeting tab.
- A voice recording. It records your microphone, or the sound of a browser tab you choose to share with ScribX.
Not every way works on every platform. Start with the recommended way for your platform.
Recommended way for each platform

How to read this table
- Send a bot works on every platform in the table. It is the most complete option. Use it if you are not sure.
- The browser extension works only when the meeting runs in your browser. In the Zoom or Teams desktop app it can't see the call. Send a bot instead, and read the transcript in the Live Companion window.
- Live captions with no bot are available in Google Meet only. On Zoom, the extension panel sends a bot.
- A voice recording never joins the call. It records your microphone (good for meetings in a room), or the sound of a browser tab or window you share (good for a call you are already in). See Voice recording.
- On a phone, you can make a voice recording in the web app's Compact mode.
