Supported platforms

ScribX captures three ways — a bot you send from the web app, the browser extension that records your tab, and Quick Notes that records your microphone or a shared tab/window. Not every method works on every platform. Use the matrix below to pick the right one.

  • Send a bot works on every supported platform — it's the most reliable option and the one to use if you're unsure.
  • The browser extension captures the browser tab, so it needs the meeting to run in your browser. On the Zoom or Teams desktop app the extension can't see the call — send a bot instead, and read along in the Live Companion pop-out.
  • Quick Notes never joins the call — it records your microphone (great for in-person) and/or the audio of a browser tab or window you share (great for a call you're already in, on any platform). See Quick Notes.
PlatformRecommendedWhy
Google MeetExtension (in-call) or botMeet gets the full in-call side panel; send a bot when you want to step away.
ZoomBotWorks whether people are on the Zoom desktop app or web. Use the extension only if everyone is on Zoom web. The Live Companion gives you the live transcript beside the call.
Microsoft TeamsBotThe extension isn't available for Teams — send a bot from the web app, and read along in the Live Companion.
In person / no linkQuick NotesNo bot, no link — records the room from your mic, or the call's audio from a shared tab/window.
