Sign in & accounts
ScribX uses one account across both surfaces. Sign in once in the extension and you're signed in to the web app on the same device — and the other way around.
Create an account
123- 1Sign up with Google
- 2…or just your email — the only required field
- 3Set a password too — optional
- Go to platform.scribx.app and choose Sign up.
- Sign up with Google, or enter your email — that's the only field ScribX needs.
- A password is optional. Set a password too reveals the fields if you want one; without it you sign in with a code by email or Google.
- Open the verification link ScribX emails you to activate the account. Google accounts are already verified.
- You start on the Free plan — no credit card required. See Plans & billing.
Three ways to sign in
The same account works across the web app and the extension. Any of these gets you in:
123- 1Continue with Google
- 2Email me a sign-in code — no password needed
- 3…or your email and password
Google
Continue with Google — one click, nothing to remember. Use it if you signed up with Google.
A sign-in code by email
No password needed, and useful if you've forgotten yours or are signing in on a borrowed machine.

- On the log-in screen, choose Email me a sign-in code.
- Enter your email and click Send code.
- Read the code from your inbox — it looks like
XXXX-XXXX— type it in and click Sign in.
Worth knowing:
- The code expires after 10 minutes.
- You get three attempts per code. After that, request a fresh one.
- Send a new code does exactly that, up to three times per session — the older codes stop working.
- The code only ever reaches the mailbox you typed, so a wrong address simply gets nothing.
Email and password
Enter your email and password and click Continue. Forgotten it? Forgot? beside the password field emails you a reset link — or just use a sign-in code instead.
Sign in from the extension

- Click the ScribX icon in your toolbar.
- Click Sign in and complete authentication in the tab that opens.
- The popup returns to the signed-in state. The web app shares this session automatically.
If you sign out in one place, you're signed out everywhere on that device. Signing in again restores both.
Teams, organizations and roles
Your account belongs to an organization (your company workspace) and one or more teams/projects inside it. Where a meeting lands, and who can see it, depends on the team it's captured into.
- Members capture, view and share their own meetings.
- Admins manage members, team settings and billing.
For how access works in detail, see Teams & roles.
On the Enterprise plan, ScribX supports SSO / SAML so your team signs in with your identity provider. See SSO & org controls. Enterprise
