Consent-aware recording
Recording a meeting carries legal and social obligations that vary by region. ScribX is built to make capture visible and to help you get consent — but the responsibility to comply rests with you.
How ScribX makes capture visible
- Bot captures add a visible ScribX participant to the call, so everyone can see a recorder is present. See Send a bot.
- In-browser captures show a recording indicator in the side panel, and can present a consent step before capture starts.
Getting consent
- Announce at the start that the meeting is being recorded and why.
- For external or regulated calls, get explicit agreement before you begin.
- Use the in-browser consent step so participants acknowledge capture.
Know your local rules
Recording laws differ — some regions require all-party consent, others a single party. ScribX gives you the indicators and controls; confirm what applies to your meeting and participants.
note
Need a record with no stored media? Use Transcript-only mode so only text is kept — see Data handling & retention and Recording & summary settings.
