v2.2.0 · Korean end-to-end, ScribX on your phone & usage you can see
Korean joins English, Vietnamese and Japanese across the whole product. ScribX now fits a phone — a compact mode with Quick Notes, live translation and your recordings. Storage and ScribX AI usage are finally visible, on the Free plan too. And the extension gets usage in the side panel plus a caption box you can drag and resize.
Web App
New
- Korean, end to end — 한국어 is now a first-class language: the interface, transcription, translation and AI summaries. See Languages.
- ScribX on your phone — A compact mode built for a phone: Home and You screens, a bottom tab bar, the recordings list and the recording detail. It follows your screen size automatically, and you can switch to the full site whenever you want.
- Quick Notes, rebuilt — A flowing live transcript, a two-panel Conversation view, the screen stays awake while you record, and you can change the language mid-recording. Saving the audio is now opt-in. See Notes without a bot.
- Request access to a private recording — Ask the owner for access and they approve or deny straight from the email. See Access requests.
- Usage you can see — A storage quota per plan with a usage meter in the sidebar; org admins get storage usage and recording cleanup in Organization settings.
- More on the Free plan — A monthly ScribX AI allowance, and calendar connection plus scheduled recordings are now open to Free. See Plans & billing.
- Voiceprints belong to the member — You choose the scope of your own voiceprint and give consent yourself; the organization only sets policy. Pick which microphone to enrol with, and read the script in your own language.
- Team knowledge in one place — Context, output templates and the glossary are grouped under a single Team knowledge section.
- Filter "Shared with me" by team — Personal shares group together, and your current team is selected for you.
Improvements
- Language pickers show full names — 한국어, 日本語, Tiếng Việt — not
KO,JA,VI. - Two languages per meeting — A meeting is explicitly one spoken language plus one translation, in the UI and at creation time.
- Clearer failure messages — When ScribX can't join a meeting, the recording says why and what to try next.
Fixes
- Share links — The passcode you set is now actually checked, and updating a share edits the existing link instead of quietly creating a second one. See Share links.
- Signing in on a phone — No longer drops you into the full desktop site.
- Whole summaries — A long structured summary no longer truncates down to just Key Points.
Chrome Extension
New
- Usage in the side panel — See how much storage, how many meetings and how many ScribX AI runs your team has used, with a warning as you approach the limit.
- Monthly free ScribX AI — Free teams get a ScribX AI allowance every month; the invite panel shows how many runs are left and says so clearly when they're gone.
- Korean — 한국어 joins the meeting-language list, and English is selectable again. Each meeting uses two languages: the spoken one and one translation.
- See how a meeting is being captured — The meeting panel tells you whether the session is recording video + audio, audio only, or transcript only.
Improvements
- A caption box that behaves like a window — Drag it from anywhere on the box, and resize it from all four edges and corners. The border lights up while you drag, so you always see the size you're setting.
- Captions stay put — Turning captions on shows them whether the side panel is open or collapsed; both CC buttons now control the same state.
